In association with Biznik (www.Biznik.com), a social networking site that combines online networking with local face-to-face entrepreneurial interaction, the bowling fundraiser will help to raise both money and nonperishable food donations for the Oregon Food Bank on or before the bowling event.
Brown says it's a way for entrepreneurs to "give back" to the local community, have fun, and network with like-minded entrepreneurs at the same time.
Interstate Lanes is offering participants a substantial discount on the regular bowling fee and is including the bowling shoes. For every $1 that is donated, the Oregon Food Bank can collect and distribute five pounds of food.
If you'd like to participate in the event, contact Tshombe at 360-746-0922 or via email at [email protected].

Oregon School Choice Contest

Are you a student, or a parent of a student, who attends a K-12 school of your choosing —private, charter, virtual, non-local public or home school — or a public school, but you'd prefer another choice?
All Oregon parents and K-12 students are invited to make up to a two-minute video about how school choice has, or could, change your life. Tell your story and stand up for school choice.
Twenty finalists will win $250 each, based on how persuasively their videos make the case for school choice. A random drawing among finalists attending the awards ceremony in mid-April will determine the grand prize winner, who will receive up to $10,000 for qualified educational expenses. Visit www.OregonSchoolChoiceContest.com for complete details and to enter the contest. The Oregon School Choice Video Contest is a project of Cascade Policy Institute.
