Portland Police Bureau's Sex Crimes Unit arrested 43-year-old Marlin Brandt Pohlman early Wednesday for multiple sex crimes. The arrest was made at Portland International Airport on Pohlman's return from Thailand.
Pohlman is accused of drugging women he knew and sexually assaulting them, police say. Detectives have identified and interviewed four women who say they were victimized by Pohlman.
Detectives also searched Pohlman's home, located in the 7100 block of North Chase Avenue. They say they found "a possible drug lab" in the home.
Pohlman was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Kidnap in the First Degree (two counts), Rape in the First Degree (two counts), Sex Abuse in the First Degree (three counts), Causing Someone to Ingest a Controlled Substance (four counts), Assault in the Third Degree (four Counts), Attempted Rape in the First Degree (two counts), Sodomy in the Third Degree, Reckless Endangerment (four counts), and Harrassment (four counts).
Bail is set at more than $2,000,000. Pohlman will be arraigned on Thursday March 14.
